Le fonctionnaire PlayStation Blog a signalé des détails sur le
paquet prochain d'expansion aux monstres charmants tout à fait de
PixelJunk de titre de Q-Jeux, dû hors du mois prochain sur le réseau
de PlayStation. L'expansion présentera des joueurs à l'île de Toki,
avec 15 nouveaux niveaux, 5 voies toutes-neuves de musique d'Otograph,
et quelques changements d'article aux choses de subsistance fraîches.
Avec les nouveaux détails, les OPSB ont signalé une entrevue courte
avec le Président Dylan Cuthbert de Q-Jeux, dans lequel il explique
la force d'entraînement vraie derrière l'expansion. "... mon épouse
a simplement aimé le jeu tellement qu'elle m'harcellerait chaque jour
pour plus de niveaux, ainsi à la fin j'ai foudroyé dedans." Vous

Huit Jours Et Fuite 3 Seront Un Moment [ Sony Londres

Hope you weren't expecting them any time soon (or honestly believed what you saw was real in any way), because The Guardian have been told by Sony London that Eight Days has only <em>just</em> entered full production, and that Getaway 3 is in <em>pre</em>-production, and will only kick it up a notch when Eight Days is finished. Seeing how well-received the first two Getaway games were, I don't know <em>how</em> they hope to keep our expectations in check for that long.<br />

<p>Good morning and welcome to Grand Theft Auto IV's official launch day. The game is, as Rockstar just emailed us to say, now available worldwide. So far, from what we've seen, had tipped to us and read elsewhere, it looks like the game's various overnight launches were mostly problem free. Sure there was the occasional bit of shoving, and boredom, but nothing serious.</p>
<p>The Rockstar folks are giddy with both the reception and, I suspect, the likelihood of taking daily money baths starting today.</p>

Qu'est-ce que c'est vous dites ? Seul de l'IV's de GTA été dehors
pendant quelques heures, et déjà l'Internet décidé que les les
deux les PS3 et 360 versions sont cassés ? Est ce ce que beaucoup de
forum - comme plusieurs de nos lecteurs - vous feraient croire, avec
des rapports du jeu fermant vers le haut de during/following le
premier cutscene du jeu, une erreur si grave vous apparemment devez
débrancher votre console au mur. Nuances de despote sur 360,
peut-être ? Peut-être c'est un problème, peut-être il est une roue

Il y a quelques mois, j'ai parlé avec Chris Erb des sports d'ea
énerve environ. Le type a dit que chaque année ils ont eu "100 types

mieux qu'elles jouent le dimanche. Et ils dépensent plus de jeu
parlant de temps énervent. La conjecture Brett n'aidera pas

La légende de Spyro : Aube du dragon : Spyro Grandit, [ Sierra Événement 08 De Ressort

<p><a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://kotaku.com/assets/resources/2008/04/spyrods.jpg"><img alt="spyrods.jpg" src="http://kotaku.com/assets/resources/2008/04/spyrods-thumb.jpg" width="200" height="300" class="postimg center"/></a>To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Spyro franchise, Sierra and Estranges Libellules are teaming up to bring you The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. This title will complete the trilogy of Spyro games that includes A New Beginning and The Eternal Night. Spyro has long been considered a kids game and while it is still being marketed to a younger audience, the franchise has definitely grown up.</p> <p>The first thing I noticed was the graphical upgrade. For a cartoony style game, the backgrounds and character models looked really nice. The water rushing by in a nearby river was particularly well done. Once I stopped gazing a the backgrounds, it was time to take a look at Spyro himself. His character model has matured with the franchise and he looks a bit more like a teenager than a baby dragon. This game also marks a new power for Spyro: flight. In previous games, Spyro could only sort of hover and glide a short distance, but now he has the full power of flying at his fingertips. Joining Spyro in his adventures is Cynder, a rather goth like female dragon who was formerly an enemy in the last game. You can play as both characters by switching back and forth with a button press or bring a friend along to play in co-op mode.</p><p>Spyro isn't the only thing that has grown up in this game however. The battle system has matured greatly as well, adding in God of War and Devil May Cry type fighting elements. Despite the violence of these two games particular style, Spyro manages to pull the best elements while still remaining kid friendly. For instance, Spyro's ability to harness the elements features a Kratos-like electrical area attack that will take out multiple ememies at the same time. The spouting fountains of blood and severed limbs however, are absent. Cynder has her own set of abilities as well that make use of her darker shadow powers, using things like poison and fear. Gems can be collected throughout the levels to help power up Spyro and Cynder's various powers. Sets of armor can be found throughout the game that can be mixed and matched or use one whole set to gain bonus abilities.</p> <p>Spyro also boasts a pretty hefty voice acting cast with Elijah Wood returning as the voice of Spyro, goth girl supreme Christina Ricci as Cynder, Gary Oldman as Ignitus, Wayne Brady as Sparx, Mark Hamill as the evil Dark Master and Blair Underwood as Hunter. It is expected to hit in early October on the Wii, DS, PS2, PS3 and Xbox 360 with the PSP oddly absent from the lineup. The gameplay on the various systems will vary slightly as they always do, but the storyline will remain the same. The PS3 version will even take advantage of the Sixxaxis controls although this control scheme will be optional. Apparently they have learned a lesson that the creator of a certain other dragon flying game didn't.</p> <p>All in all I really enjoyed what I saw of this latest Spyro title and the new battle system seems like it might cross that line from pure kids game into attracting some more open minded adult gamers who enjoy a cartoony romp. As a fan of the first Spyro game, I will certainly be interested in checking it out once it is released to see more of how the the little purple dragon has come into his own.</p> <p></p> <br style="clear:both;"/> <img alt="" style="border:0;height:1px;width:1px;" border="0" src="http://www.pheedo.com/img.phdo?i=7d39718d6c31b0c4773b01133cfb1b90" height="1" width="1"/>

Re: The Weekends are Made for GTA</p> <p>Well, the weekend was mostly Crecente and McWhertor's show after the 10 am embargo ("OGrabMe" spelled backwards) broke. I think our servers held up under the GTA IV traffic better than Xbox Live did for the Halo 3 release. Needless to say a lot of stuff gets plowed under when a mega-game hits the set.</p> <p>But I'd like to throw a word for my brother, Fletch, whom a lot of the readers have gotten to know in the past week. First he illustrated the <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://kotaku.com/381802/two-brothers-meditating-upon-questions-of-pac+man">Pac-Man crapping </a>post, which is a story that just won't quit. And drafting last in our inaugural Video Game draft, he <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://kotaku.com/383892/draft-update-picks-21+32">shrewdly took Asshole Dog from Duck Hunt</a> and walked away with <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://kotaku.com/383915/grade-the-draft">best draft honors</a> in the subsequent poll. Fletch is full of win.</p> <p>Except for Monday. He got laid off from work, down in Austin, and of course the fams is worried bad. Fletch is keeping busy as best he can, however. Seeing some of the readers turn "THEY GHOSTS" into a catchphrase, he's whomped up a T-shirt for it. Obviously, <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.fletcherism.com/pacman/">he's selling the t-shirt</a>. Whether it's by movies, with friends, books, radio, games or what have you, at the end of the day, most people want to play and have fun. It's what keeps most of us from committing mass suicide on a grand scale.</p> <p>On the other hand, the idea of what a game is or should be and how they're created spans a vast age group. While it can be a medium used to comment on a variety of things, at its heart, the entire focus is to have fun. Everything after that is an afterthought and obviously, to stay alive you need to determine what age group you're going to target.</p> <p>That being said, the stories being told are more mature than they used to be, depending on who's making them. The problem is that it's hard to focus on themes for adults like war, death, sex, violence, etc without inviting the consternation of government, media, and soccer moms. The industry, due to the insane amounts of cash that flow through it, is very terrified of risk and putting out a game that's the equivalent of an R rating can limit your income.</p> <p>That is not to say, of course, that the only mature stories and games themselves must be rated M to be as such. Far from it. But a word like "mature" is subjective. I know a few teenagers who come off as far more mature than my 30-year-old friends. Hell, some of the older people I know act like giant babies: For example, I had to write a four-paragraph diatribe to defend myself at work yesterday because some guy received a 2-minute phone call he shouldn't have... and it wasn't me!</p> <p>To address the point, though, my own personal problem with people trying to present themselves as "deep" is that it almost always comes off as pretentious wealthy-suburban college faux-intellectualism. You know the type of people I'm talking about. They are stricken with the idea that if they have post-secondary education, they're smarter than everyone else and so they regurgitate what they've read in text books to "prove" that they're deeply intelligent. This often, at least to me, has the opposite effect. You can normally tell when people are thinking for themselves and when they're just reciting something they don't really understand. You simply can't -tell- people how smart you are. You either are smart, or you're not.</p> <p>There's also an inherent flaw in the basic principle of what a game is that holds back the depth you're looking for: you are the main character. While the character is not literally the player, the player vicariously lives through the character for the duration they're playing the game. The character reflects your actions, and quite often, your thoughts. Very few game characters have an internal voice - that's solely provided by the player. How a character thinks is a vital part of exploring a theme, yet if you are truly to explore that theme, you need to take thought and action away from the player. Take, for example, Hamlet. It's quite simple to make a game based on the story of Hamlet, but the depth is all lost because what makes Hamlet a layered and interesting character is how he thinks and how the audience interprets how he thinks through his actions - put into a player's hands, Hamlet becomes a different character altogether, even if in cutscenes he becomes the one we've known on stages for decades.</p> <p>That is not to say that it's impossible to create a deep game, but rather that the analysis cannot be traditional in the literary scholar sense (or film, if you prefer). It's a different type of medium and requires a different type of thinking. You can't get it from a text book. More to the point, the maturity of a story depends on the maturity of its interpretations. Taking Hamlet again, from Shakespeare's perspective, he was just trying to make something interesting enough to get people to crowd the theater so that he could feed his troupe. It wasn't until ages later when someone decided to analyze his writing that people started to believe that it was something more. Or, if you prefer, something more contemporary: Lord of the Rings. In this trilogy, it explores so many themes that can be interpreted on several levels, but straight from Tolkien's mouth, he says he intended no such thing (read the foreword).</p> <p>In terms of physical maturity, games are as mature as any other entertainment medium. The possibilities are there to present and explore themes provided that the creator is clever enough to do so. However, creators today typically are not. We are among the music-video generation - the emphasis is a lot less on social commentary and a lot more on visual spectacle.</p> <p>I believe there are intelligent creators out there, but they've only so far managed to present the themes rather than explore them. It's not an easy thing to do.</p> <p>If anything, I think the best way to achieve depth in games is not by force-feeding intellectual fodder to us, but rather clever, subtle satire. Only thing is, satire is a very hard thing for many people to grasp on both the creator's and audience's end. I suppose that's what makes it fun. To reiterate, however, I don't feel that games need to grow up. They're fine just the way they are and they most certainly shouldn't -try- to invite intellectual discourse in the sense that it should be forced. Rather, present something interesting enough, and people will start to talk about it. We'll sell to these people over here who have never played games.</p> <p>Now the core gamers are crying because Nintendo isn't giving them any love. From a business perspective, I say kudos to Nintendo, they made a necessary change and made billions on it and continue to do so. Simple changes here and there could easily make Wii more attractive even with the limited hardware. But they won't do it. Coachella obtient le goût de LittleBigPlanet, Gran Turismo, SingStar [ événement

<p>All three games will be set up in Sony's interactive entertainment tents. Here's the break down:</p>
<p><strong>Gran Turismo 5 Prologue:</strong> Racing simulators will let gamers take the title for a spin, participate in race events and try a d little celebrity competition with members of British electro-rock band "Does it Offend You, Yeah?", the French electro "Kavinsky" and others.</p>
<p><strong>LittleBigPlanet:</strong> The 40-foot-by-60-foot booth will feature original music and clouds drifting across the ceiling. Players will be introduced to character customization, how levels play and be given a chance to create their own levels. U Artists, BATTLES, MGMT and Simian Mobile Disco will stop by to participate in the "VIP gameplay" area.</p>
<p><strong>SingStar</strong>: Fans of the game, and music, who attend the festival will be able to get up on stage and sing in front of a live audience in one of two of Sony's interactive entertainment tents. The live action shots, filmed on location in Prague during the movie shoot, connect the first and second movies together by having Dr. Cornelius explaining to Caspian how Narnia fell to the Telmarines hundreds of years ago. The exclusive clips are two of the sixteen live-action clips appearing in the game.</p>

Disney Interactive Studios announced today that two original scenes for Disney/Walden Media's The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian video game were filmed exclusively for the product and appear separately from the film. The unique scenes link The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and Prince Caspian stories with Dr. Cornelius (Vincent Grass) telling Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes) the story of how Narnia fell to the Telmarines hundreds of years ago.</p>
<p>The scenes were shot on the film set in Prague, Czech Republic, during principal shooting and feature dialogue revealing plot based on the events of the book, game and film. The creation of the live action content was directed by Andrew Adamson, the film's director. The two original scenes are part of 18 live action moments in the game, which include 16 excerpts from the feature film.</p>

<p>The England-based game production and development teams worked in cooperation with the London-based film crew and Andrew Adamson to assure the game's overall accuracy to the film. Capturing two original scenes was only possible through the collaborative partnership between Disney Interactive Studios; and Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media.</p>
<p>"The close partnerships we maintain with our film division and Walden Media allowed us to utilize the cast, crew and set to create two unique scenes exclusively for the video game," said Ed Bainbridge, vice president of European production, Disney Interactive Studios. <p>The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian video game will be available for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, the Wii™ home video game system, the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and Windows-based PC. A separate Nintendo DS™ version will also be available.</p>
<p>Developed by Traveller's Tales, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian for home consoles and Windows-based PC takes players throughout Narnia and includes a gameplay level, which is unique from both the novel and the film. The level, which is set between the events of "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" and "Prince Caspian," takes place at the castle of Cair Paravel and tells the story of how Narnia fell to the Telmarine hordes. In "Prince Caspian," Cair Paravel is seen only as abandoned ruins the Pevensies discover hundreds of years later.</p>
